The Remodel Project

Last September I finally decided it was time to get my foundation repaired because my house, which had been cracking for years, finally got to me and I just had to do something about it. Once the foundation was repaired, I had to have cracks repaired and then the kitchen redone, all the room repainted, new floors, new bathroom fixtures and paint, and all the bedrooms done. Wow, all that just got finished up in May.Here are some pictures to show you what has changed in my house since then.

I had forgotten how frustrating it is to put pictures on this blog. I am not going to post any more because it is not fun. However, there are two more I want to show. Here they are.

Dressing table area in master bedroom before

Same area after. Changed to more storage and display area

Lots more has been done as I said before. All the rooms were painted, new woodwork, new doors, both exterior and interior, new wood floor in living area and hall and new carpeting in all the bedrooms. Come visit me sometime and I'll show you the rest!

Check it out

I realize I haven't had much to add to this blog in awhile. I invite you to go to my other blog, which is my stewardship blog. I recently took part in a no impact week and it was fun to come up with inventive ways not to make trash (like using the same napkin several times.)

The Lantern Project

On 7-18 December 2009, leaders from around the world will meet in Copenhagen to talk about ways to deal with global warming. They aim to agree on worldwide targets for reducing harmful emissions and protecting the environment for the future.

Show world leaders that YOU think the world is worth saving by joining the Earth Hour Lantern Project. Just make a lantern as your vote for Earth, and it will be sent to Copenhagen for the UN Climate Change Conference.

Please go to this website to make a lantern and join the most important vote in history:

Gail

St Nicholas

Saturday morning we had a St. Nicholas Day Festival at church. Lots of fun activities for kids and adults. St. Nicholas even showed up and gave the kids a "goodie bag." I was able to take a picture of him before he got away.

I was in charge of making grilled cheese sandwiches for all. Yum!
